Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 1, 2026
Our commitment
Med-Health Laboratories is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive experience for all patients, visitors, and staff. We continually work to remove barriers and improve accessibility across our physical locations and digital platforms.
AODA compliance
Med-Health Laboratories complies with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation. This includes:
- Customer Service Standard: Staff are trained to interact respectfully and effectively with patients of all abilities. Assistive devices are accommodated and support persons are welcome.
- Information and Communications: We provide accessible formats of documents on request within a reasonable timeframe at no additional cost.
- Employment: Accessible employment practices are in place for all staff and applicants.
- Transportation: Not directly applicable to our services.
- Design of Public Spaces: New and significantly renovated collection centres are designed to meet accessible design requirements.
Physical locations
All Med-Health collection centres provide:
- Step-free or ramp entry at the main entrance
- Accessible washrooms at all locations
- Seating in waiting areas
- Accessible parking near or at the building (location-specific — check individual location pages for details)
- Staff trained to assist patients with mobility, visual, or hearing-related needs
- Private collection rooms available on request
If you require specific accommodation — such as a private room, an interpreter, or assistance with paperwork — please contact the collection centre in advance so we can prepare appropriately.
Website accessibility
The Med-Health Laboratories website is designed to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Measures taken include:
- Keyboard navigable interface throughout
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios for all text and interactive elements
- Alt text on all informational images
- ARIA labels on interactive components (dropdowns, accordions)
- Responsive design for all screen sizes
- Reduced-motion preferences respected for animations
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
We are working toward full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. Some older documents may not yet meet these standards — accessible versions are available on request.
Feedback and contact
We welcome feedback on accessibility. If you encounter a barrier — on our website, in a patient portal, or at one of our locations — please let us know:
